When the Saints Go Marching In

This should be a very interesting week.  For those who go out trick-or-treating on Monday night, my wish is a safe evening.  All Saints Day is our chance to remember those heroes of faith, now in heaven, and learn by their example.  On All Souls Day we pray for those who have died and are still in need of purification before entering heaven.

This week's task.  Mention one or two people, who have died, who you would like our class to pray for.

Week 8 - End of Month 2

Can you believe it's almost November?  The Leafs have begun to fall and we may never see the Stanley Cup lifted in June by Toronto.

Next Tuesday, November 1st, we'll be having a Fruit Smoothie Feast to celebrate All Saints Day (it's also a great excuse to pump some goodness after all the trick-or-treating).  All I ask is that each student bring in a cup, and one banana (peeled first then frozen) - the rest is my treat.

Task of the week.  "Take a handful of change, count it and report the total on this blog."

Week 7 - Jubilee

As I write this post on Sunday evening I can only think of how great it is to be a Leaf fan.  If only the Stanley Cup were awarded after three games...

Please read your homework sheet before proceeding with this week's post.  Of course, get your parents to help you and give you some ideas.

Describe what you'd like to do with your family this Jubilee week.

Term 1 Week 5

Fantastic! What a terrific response we had to last week's question. Remember, your comments won't be visible immediately.

As the administrator of the site I read them first before posting them to the site; I have no way of modifying what has been written, but it prevents a stranger from posting something unsuitable or not related to our classroom.

This week's question is:
"What is your favourite season: Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter? Explain why."

Please remember to put your name at the end of your post and select "anonymous" to submit your post.

Have an excellent week. Mr. Artymko
