Term 1 Week 6 - How about those Leafs?

Happy Thanksgiving!  I hope your families enjoyed God's beautiful blessings of family and weather this weekend.

It is great to see so many of you getting onto our blog and sharing your thoughts with your friends in grade 3.

Remember to check out our class webpage on the St. John Bosco website by clicking on this link  http://jbosco.rccdsb.edu.on.ca/staff/grade-3/ ; in addition to our monthly newsletters you will find a copy of the week's homework assignment.

Describe at least one good memory of your Thanksgiving weekend.

  1. One good memory of mine was going for a motorbike ride with Mrs. Artymko on Monday afternoon. We travelled to the end of Parcher Road after visiting with some friends at Chippewa Lodge. The roads were twisty and perfect, and the changing colours of the leaves made the scenery stunning. Another memory was barbequing our Thanksgiving turkey; it was absolutely delicious and the gravy we ended up making from the pan drippings was the best ever. My last memory was being able to sing in the choir on Sunday morning at mass; the Kelly boys were up in the choir loft helping out.

  2. My cousins came up for Thanksgiving. They came up on Friday and stayed until Monday. They stayed at our house. We went outside on our swing set and we were snapping sticks on another tree. My brother sprayed me and my cousin Leah with the hose. We had lots of fun then they had to go back home to Toronto.
I really miss them now. I went inside and played with my brother and then I watched tv with my mom. I wish they were still here.
